Pyre
Pyre was developed to bring payments, crypto, and play into one mobile experience. At Sophon, I worked across the mobile app and backend integrations, building onboarding, money movement, card management, vault deposits and withdrawals, and rewards experiences.
My contribution connected the interfaces people interacted with to the services and state behind them, with particular attention to responsiveness, recovery, and platform-specific behavior.

Pyre was designed to combine practical financial tools with the personality of a consumer entertainment product. Card payments, bank transfers, crypto, and yield sat alongside games and rewards. The challenge was carrying that character through journeys where clarity and dependable behavior mattered.
Across the app, user actions depended on banking services, identity verification, and blockchain transactions. Each had its own timing and failure states. My work involved translating those differences into useful feedback, appropriate next steps, and ways to recover when something went wrong.
Onboarding and account access. Social login, account setup, identity verification, PIN and biometric flows, and the transitions between them.
Money movement and vaults. Bank and crypto transfers, deposit experiences, external-card top-ups, and vault deposits and withdrawals, connecting mobile flows with backend services.
Cards and rewards. Card activation, multiple-card management, spending limits, manual Apple Pay and Google Wallet setup guidance, referrals, and the integration of early-access rewards.
Interaction details. Shared components, loading states, animations, and platform-specific behavior across iOS and Android.
The following example explores one challenge within that broader contribution: making account creation interactive.

I connected Dynamic authentication, account setup, Wirex authorization, and identity verification into the onboarding journey. In the earlier architecture, this included Biconomy smart-account deployment. Making that setup feel fluid and interactive was one of the hardest parts of the work.
During setup, users could control the Pyre logo in a miniature version of Inferno, one of the app’s arcade games. This gave them something to explore while authentication and account preparation ran in the background.
At the same time, I integrated a check for Sparks—reward points users had earned through Pyre’s early-access experience. For eligible users, these appeared as small collectibles inside the game, connecting their earlier participation to the mobile app. The points represented boosts in Pyreball, the app’s prize-draw system.
I coordinated account setup, the reward lookup, and the interactive sequence so they could progress independently. Once a reward reveal started, navigation waited for it to finish. A slow or failed rewards check could not hold up normal onboarding, and late results could not start a new reveal after navigation had already committed.
